Sal Spallone

Sal Spallone has been affiliated with the Indian River Golf Foundation since October, 2013 as an extension of the training program.  Advancing players are referred to Sal through the IRGF….or they may make direct contact on their own.  He brings a wealth of information and experience through private sessions. Junior players relate to Sal and gain from his success as a player at the junior, high school, collegiate and professional levels.

 Sal started playing the game of golf at the young age of 6 years old. He was a member of the Treasure Coast Junior Golf Tour and other local junior programs which prepared him for competing in higher level tournaments including national junior tournaments.

Sal attended Saint Edwards School where he was MVP on the golf team all 6 years (eligible for the Varsity Golf Team in the 7th grade).  He won the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) State Golf Championship his senior year. Sal graduated from Saint Edwards in 1996 as one of the top recruited juniors in the United States.

He attended Texas Christian University on a golf scholarship where he helped lead the team to 3 Conference Championships. He graduated in 2001 with a Marketing Degree and immediately turned professional.

Sal was a member of various golf tours in his 13 years of competitive professional golf. He played in 4 PGA Tour events including the 2005 USGA Open Championship at Pinehurst, Nationwide Tour, Hooters Tour, EGolf Tour, MinorLeague Tour and the EPD Tour based in Germany.

Sal is currently focusing to help others with development as players including swing techniques, shaping shots, course management while advising consistency in training and playing.  He has been mentored by some of golf’s greatest teachers including: Mike Adams, Jim McLean, Todd Anderson, David Glenz, Bill Davis, Hank Haney and Bob Komarinetz.

He considers himself a golf coach who teaches not only the swing but the mental aspect and how to manage your game on the course. Sal is Biomechanics and TPI Certified. He is extremely passionate about the game of golf and helping others reach their full potential.

Sal is currently serving as Director of Instruction at Bent Pine Golf Club.
