IRGF Teaching Professional

Bela Nagy, Director of Golf at Sandridge Golf Club, is a member of the PGA of America since 1996 and a 1995 graduate of the Professional Golf Management Program at Mississippi State University.  Bela was voted Top 50 Teachers in America by US Kids in 2005, 2009 and 2014 and named the 1999 Junior Golf Leader for the Southeast Chapter of the South Florida PGA.  He has been an instructor at Sandridge Golf Club for over twenty years.

During his early years at Sandridge Golf Club, Bela and Bob Komarinetz conducted the annual Treasure Coast Junior Golf Tour in addition to the many adult tournaments and championships at Sandridge. Bela now serves as Director of the TCJGT providing a combination of staff and very dedicated volunteers.

In 2010, the TCJGT and IRGF established a joint venture to conduct the TCJGT/IRGF TEAM SCRAMBLE Series played Saturdays in April, May and June. The TCJGT/IRGF INDIVIDUAL Stroke Play is conducted each July hosted by area private golf facilities with the annual Championship concluding each season at Sandridge Golf Club. The TCJGT provides annual college scholarships for deserving graduating senior players.

Bela is active in the After School Golf Program for elementary school, middle school and high school students on Wednesdays at Sandridge. He is part of the coaching staff for the two Travel Golf Teams of the IRGF. He and his professional staff conduct many junior golf camps throughout the year.
