The Alex MacWilliam, Sr. Award and the Mayor’s Cup have become the symbol of community service in the past and for many years ahead. He and the MacWilliam Family are very much a part of the fabric of golf history in the City of Vero Beach and Indian River County. Through the Mayor’s Cup, professional and amateur participants will honor traditions of the game, help to build a new generation of golf leadership and demonstrate golf’s intrinsic values of discipline, integrity and sportsmanship.
