Taylor takes home first AJGA title at Under Armour® / Steve Marino Championship
Kim fires final round 215 to secure victory in the Girls Division

WESTON, Fla. — Payton Taylor of Vero Beach, Fla., picks up his first AJGA win at the Under Armour® / Steve Marino Championship. Dylan Kim of Winter Garden, Fla., prevailed in a one-hole sudden- death playoff against Daniela Darquea of Quito, Ecuador to capture the title.
Conducted by the American Junior Golf Association, the Under Armour® / Steve Marino Championship is a 54-hole stroke play competition played on the par-72 course at Weston Hills Country Club – Tour Course. The event features 57 boys and 21 girls, ages 12-18, from 6 states and 10 countries. The Boys Division is playing the course at 6,992 yards while the Girls Division is playing the course at 6,018 yards.

Taylor shot a final round 1-under-par 71 for a tournament total 212 to earn his first AJGA win. Taylor, who started with a one-stroke lead going into the final round, made an eagle on No.12, a par-5.

“This win means a lot to me because it gives me momentum going into the summer,” Taylor said. “I definitely have more confidence in my golf game to put me on the top leaderboard in future tournaments.”

Qi Wen Wong of (Singapore) Bradenton, Fla., and Steven Chervony of Boca Raton, Fla., finished with a tournament total of 214 to take second place. Christian Zimm of Naples, Fla., Anthony Gabriele of West Palm Beach, Fla., Daniel Whelan of Coral Springs, Fla., all share fourth place at 1-over-par 217.
