LAKE WALES, Fla. – Head men’s golf coach Craig Wilsman announced his 2011-12 Team Awards this week following the conclusion of the men’s Spring schedule. Awards handed out included the Most Valuable Player award, Coaches Leadership award, Champions of Character Servant-Leadership award and the Most Improved Player award.
The Coaches Leadership Award is given to the student-athlete that has made an invaluable contribution as a team leader while also staying faithful in fulfilling their responsibilities on and off the course. Sophomore Daniel Bova was selected as the award recipient and becomes a two-time award honoree having won the award last year. “Bova was clearly the winner of this award,” said Coach Wilsman. “Daniel is probably the most coachable player that we have; he is constantly asking questions and always seeking to improve his game,” Coach Wilsman continued.
