Welcome to the Indian River Golf Foundation
Honoring Traditions and New Beginnings
The purpose of the Indian River Golf Foundation (IRGF) is to promote interest and awareness of local golfing opportunities and to encourage participation in programs that will lead to high levels of knowledge, player development and service in the game of golf. The Foundation builds upon TRADITIONS of the game supporting existing programs and establishing new BEGINNINGS in a wide-range of affordable golf experiences. Training, Practices and Competitions (TPC) are offered at all skill levels including Travel Golf Teams. The IRGF Players Club is designed for golfers of all ages...boys and girls. Young players are assisted by IRGF staff, PGA//LPGA professionals and volunteer coaches. Advancing juniors have an opportunity to earn Volunteer Community Service Credits. The IRGF has a fine record of creating employment and education opportunities through character building and athletic scholarships.
Through the Indian River Golf Alliance, stakeholders in the game of golf partner with the IRGF. These partners include 12 area public & private golf facilities, city & county governments, educational institutions, businesses and professional service organizations.Beginning in January - 2014, the IRGF will offer the Player Agent Program. Player Agents are a collection of informed parents and PGA Golf Professionals with first-hand experience in Player Development from Entry Level to the highest level of Competitions/Junior Golf Tours to assist in preparation for high school golf and the possibility of college golf scholarships.
Based out of the Indian River Golf Training Center, the IRGF is realizing the VISION of Growth in the Game in Indian River County and beyond. The IRGF intends to create a positive atmosphere of building relationships while expanding access to golf facilities.
Scholarships are available enabling young golfers to maximize their potential which otherwise would not be attained.
